My first Explorer
Jan 30, 2024
To my surprise this is a legis SUV. My first time owning a Ford Explorer and it's been fast, agile, comfortable can sit in it (I'm 6'3"). My other car is a BMW M3 and while I didn't expect the Explorer to be anything like my M3 but it's surprisingly a fun car to drive. This is also Very affordable compared to other SUV's in it's class. Definitely a good buy!

Average Family SUV

I had some minor problems early on with the car but I really like that 3.5L V6 and so far it has been very good to me so I cannot complaint much. I am not a fan of the 4WD as it is not as clever as in my wife's car but it gets the job done. Overall it is a decent family car, do I wish I had something nicer, of course but I simply cannot afford it so this thing will do for now.

Overall this new Ford Explorer is good car, if you're like me and you want to buy a newer car used I think the best is to get the 2017 year XLT model . The reason for this is because in 2017 Ford manage to work out some of the issues they had with the previous mode, and the XLT model gives you most all of the features without much of an additional cost. If you live in a snowy environment you will love the AWD system.
The 3.5L engine is not bad either.
