Diesel engine vehicles manufactured within the last 10 years also typically offer better fuel efficiency and tend to go longer without major repairs.  However, it is important to choose wisely as there are some diesel vehicles that do not fit the mold and can actually be more harmful to the environment by emitting heavier particulate matter. It is vital to research the specific models’ emissions prior to settling on buying a diesel vehicle.
